Aloha,
Our family is relocating to the Denver area in May. My son, now 14, has been unschooled his entire life. I'm simply researching groups and areas in which to live. If you could take a minute and describe what you love about your Homeschooling group and perhaps about the area in which you live it would be of great help to us in making a decision.
We currently belong to a Hawaii Homeschool Association on Oahu. Our son is an avid Lego builder and serious gamer (strategy board games.) Our family is also vegetarian. We'd love to hear from you and thank you greatly for your time.
Mahalo, Jessica

I actually belong to the group that this group shot off of. What I love about our group - Common Ground HS'ers? We have field trips, speech club, park days, co-ops, meetings. We have an exceptional kids group for those who have special needs, we have a DDC club for children over 10 to get together, we have tons of links and advice for newbies (to HS'ing and to Denver.) We have so many forms of home learning represented - unschooling, unit study, virtual school, eclectic, Charlotte Mason, secular, Christian, Jewish, pagan, mormon, etc. We have dad who teach and moms who teach, we have single families and large families, and blended families. We uplift and support each other through illness, joy, good times and bad because we all have common ground - homeschooling! We have a bunch of Lego minded people too. E-mail me at liesecarberry@hotmail.com or come on over to check out Common grounds for 4 weeks no charge ($12 a year for membership.) www.cchfs.com
