This is my first year homeschooling. My daughter is 8 and in 3rd grade. We have joined the COVA Co-op which supports the COVA K12 that we are part of. The problem is, my daughter misses meeting with kids her age every day. She is in Sunday school, Karate, and Co-Op, but she still wants more contact with other kids. Can you please let me know if joining this group as well would offer her that opportunity? I really love homeschooling her this way, but I want her to be happy too.

We just started too and we have enrolled her in FACE school in Northglenn. I think the website is www.myfaceschool.org. They have "tuesday school" for homeschoolers. My daughter goes for 5 classes- karate, sewing, science, art and literature all geared towards 2-4th grade. It's been a great resource and is taught by other homeschooled parents. The classes have a small charge, but the curriculum and more importantly the socialization has been great to ease the transition for our daughter. Sean

Hi, we are part of another HS group called Common Ground HS'ers. We have a ton of activities - so many you'll wonder when any of us do 'school'! We use COVA too, but our group runs from unschoolers to virtual schoolers to everything in between. Check us out for free for 4 weeks to see what we offer. We have park days, field trips, co-ops, activities, member planned - lots! www.cchfs.com
