Hi there - I was wondering if what type of co-op classes and other activites you hold for teenagers. I know in the Colorado Springs area my son has participated in Science classes and know there are speech classes, etc with all ages - it is very organized. I am looking for some other organized classes for my son to take part in with other kids his age. Any suggestions?? We are in Littleton. We would love to have some community like in Colorado Springs - my son is with COVA and does do a couple hours at Deer Creek in the mornings. Thank you. patricia @achievepeakperformance.com

Hi Patricia! our oldest homeschooler is 10b (our just-17b is in boarding school; we also have almost-6b and 2g) so i don't know of any exact-classes for your 14b. we are involved in a Commonwealth (Thomas Jefferson Education) that has ages 0-18, close to 50 children, that meets once a week. additionally, Boy Scouts is an EXCELLENT program (imho) and so is 4H... we live in Littleton, as well, and are getting ready to choose a Family Project for the year... looks like it's going to be chickens for 4H.... kate

Patricia, There is a group in your area near Ken Caryl Valley with children of your sons age. I am no longer in Littleton - I'm south of the Springs and I can't remember the name. Go to the Montessori near Bowles and Kipling,, ask for Patty the teacher for the home school group, I believe they meet on Thurs and Fridays all day. The home school teachers can put you in touch with parents who have children in your age group. One of the gals used to be in this group: Julie Lane - her son is the same age as yours and her husband puts terrific outings together for the boys. Also, AWANA was a great help for my boys when we were there. It was held in the big white church on Bowles near C470. The boys met lots of kids there and found out many were homeschooled.
